Blessed Easter to you!

Dear Readers of this blog, I want to wish you a blessed Easter from our family to yours! May the Lord bless you! Yesterday we enjoyed an easter egg hunt with family. Gabriel was excited to find a super sized egg, and Lilly Faith hunted in her diaper as she had messed up her dress before the hunt began. She was cute running around in a diaper and a big bow on her head. Today we enjoyed being at church as a whole family. Our daddy has recently been away on business, so it was a huge blessing to all attend church on Easter together. We love having daddy back. Happy Easter!

Her book has REALLLY challenged me; it is so good I am reading it through a second time. Anyway, I think you will be touched by this post.

We are having a sick week at our home. Our three youngest girls have been EXTREMELY ill. Abbie Joy ended up in the emergency room late Sunday night. It was the croup, and she is breathing better now. There has been a lot of fussing, crying, coughing and gagging going on. We are praying that all will be well by Christmas. Annagrace told me this morning that she hopes she is well by Christmas or she won't get to eat our traditional cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. I love it that she is thinking ahead to our traditions. I love family traditions! Merry Christmas!

A Blessed Easter to You!

I want to take a quick minute to wish our family and friends a blessed Easter Sunday. We did not have time to take family pictures before church, so we took these when we returned home this afternoon. For your amusement I am posting our silly picture along with the serious one. :)

2010

It is hard to believe another year has passed. 2010 flew by at lightening speed for the Adams household. We experienced a very busy year with many transitions. To list a few we sold a house, bought a house, moved to the country, had our fifth baby, changed Matt's vehicle, Matt started a new job, adopted a kitty, joined a new church, and to keep things interesting we traded in our suburban in December for a twelve passenger van. Yes, our year can pretty much be described as one big transition or change after another. The Lord answered many prayers for us this past year, and we are amazed at His faithfulness to our family. Here are a few pictures from our Christmas 2010 in our new home.

Here we are in January and already into our second week of school. Christmas already seems so far removed as we have been working very hard at getting back into the swing of our school routine. God is good, and His mercies are "New every morning." My hearts desire is that our family will love God more, serve God more, and obey God more faithfully in the year to come. I realize more than ever how very much we need Him. He is our faithful Lord and to Him we owe our all.

Christmas Eve 2010

It is hard to believe that another Christmas has come and gone. Somehow the years seem to be rolling by faster and faster. It makes me want to heed the prayer in Psalm 90:12, "Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom."

We enjoyed a simple yet beautiful Christmas Eve service at our church. Matt was asked to read a passage of Scripture during the service. The children enjoyed seeing their daddy reading from the pulpit.

After church we came home and opened a few packages. We put secret codes on the children's packages instead of names. The codes were their birth dates. They had to find the hidden packages (a yearly tradition we have on Christmas Eve) and then decipher whose was whose by the birth date. The kids always get new jammies. I try to act like I do not know what they are getting, but they laugh and remind me that of course they are getting jammies. :)
